TRADE programme is introducing hydroponic technology to dairy farmers. Hydroponics is a method of growing plants without soil by using mineral-rich solutions in a water solvent and it has been adopted by dairy producers in Thyolo and Blantyre. TRADE Programme organised a service providers orientation workshop that was held on 5th December,2022 at Linde Motel in Mponela. The workshop was conducted to induct 14 service providers who have been identified to implement various programmes' interventions in all the eleven districts being targeted by TRADE. Minister of Agriculture Hon. Lobin Lowe M.P. visiting our pavilions at the National Agriculture Fair in Blantyre, conducted under the theme "Enhanced Agricultural Productivity for Industrialization". The Director General of OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) Abdulhamid Al-Khalifa, was in the country between 31st March and 1st April to sign some additional Financing Agreements with the Malawi Government. During the visit, TRADE Programme’s National Coordinator, Felix Lombe paid a courtesy call to the Director General at Capital Hotel. The courtesy call was aimed at briefing the Director General of TRADE Programme’s preparedness towards infrastructure componentroll-out.
